    Psychologist

I am Ibolya Kissné Szekeres a humanistic person-centred counselling psychologist, whose therapy is based on existential philosophy. After more than 20 years teaching of Hungarian literature and Grammar and English language, I have been working as a psychologist for five years, working for two years in England where I studied psychology.

I completed my MSc studies at Keele University, I got my BSc degree from University of Worcester. I studied counselling skills at Newman University in Birmingham. I achieved MA philosophy at Szeged University. My life is featured by continuous studying.

I believe that giving meaning to our life, accepting our experiences and ourselves as we are, can be the vital conditions of our psychological well-being. I think happiness is inside us and it can be reached for everyone.

I am sure we are able to change since I myself have also experienced change.

The change doesn’t mean that a person will be a completely different individual but the person gains self-knowledge and self-acceptance. I think the ancient advice of Gnothi Szeauton (i.e. Know Yourself) and Amor Fati (Accept Yourself and your fate) might be valid for ever.
