About Me
Kissné Szekeres Ibolya, psychologist and counselling professional

As a psychologist and counselling professional, I work with decades of educational and helping experience. I completed my studies in psychology and counselling psychology at British universities.
Throughout my career, my interest has always centred on the person, the individual life story, and the question of how our experiences shape our thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
I believe that body and mind cannot be separated. We all come to know the world through our own experiences, and these experiences also affect how we relate to ourselves, to others and to our environment.
In my work, therefore, particular attention is given to understanding emotions. Our feelings often show how we connect with ourselves and with the world around us. When we better understand these feelings and the experiences behind them, it may also become possible to look at a given life situation differently.
I consider self-acceptance and self-knowledge important. We do not strive for perfection, but rather to recognise and accept both our strengths and our limitations.
During a psychological consultation, I do not wish to give ready-made answers. I want to create a calm, accepting and non-judgemental space in which there is an opportunity for a deeper understanding of your own feelings, thoughts and way of functioning.
I believe that the same life situation can be interpreted in several ways. A change of perspective does not mean denying the difficulties, but rather trying to notice new possibilities and personal resources within them.
In 2019, I obtained a Master's Degree in Philosophy at the University of Szeged.
My philosophical studies further deepened my interest in human thinking, self-knowledge, values and different perspectives.
